Course Description

This course will teach basic concepts, theory,
algorithms and applications of tensor computation and optimization.
The topics to be covered include:
tensor space and tensor ranks, tensor decompositions,
polynomial and tensor optimization,
sum of squares, moment relaxations, semidefinite programming,
and other related applications.

There are no regular assignments for this course.
To get a satisfacoty grade, the students can choose to do one of the following options:
- Make a presentation in class, about any kind of research subjects
that are related to this topic course, or
- Write a term paper, focusing on one or more subjects covered
in this research topic course, or

Any other kind of equivalent efforts, to be consent by the instructor.

Grading

The final course grade will be based on the performance
of completing homework/project assignments.
