Date, Time and Location

The 22nd SCGAS will be held at the Department of Mathematics of University of California at San Diego on Saturday, February 7, 2015 and Sunday, February 8, 2015. The lectures will be held in Center Hall 105. For directions on how to get to Center Hall 105, here is a map.

And here are directions from the hotel to the UCSD campus.

Registration starts at 10 am Saturday morning. The first talk will be at 11:00am and the last talk will finish at 12:30pm on Sunday, to allow for travel.

Graduate students, fresh Ph.D.s and under-represented minorities are especially encouraged to join our annual seminar. Partial financial support is available.

The Seminar is supported by the NSF.

Participants are asked to register online: the electronic Registration form is now available. See here for the list of people already registered.

The registration fee is $15, payable in cash only at the conference.

The SCGAS will provide breakfast on Sunday and refreshments throughout the weekend for all participants. There will be a banquet at the Emerald Seafood on Saturday, February 7th. The cost is $40 (cash only) to be paid on Saturday morning at the conference. We will provides rides to and from the restaurant. Here are the directions.

Financial Support

For participants who are requesting reimbursement please send your completed expenses form and receipts to 340 Rowland Hall (Bldg.# 400) University of California at Irvine, Irvine, CA 92697-3875. Reimbursement is only guaranteed up to the amount specified in the email you received from the SCGAS, and only with valid receipts. If you have questions please send an email to scgas@math.ucsd.edu.

The 22nd SCGAS is supported by a grant from the National Science Foundation. At least 50% of the total expenses will be given to graduate students, junior faculty members who do not have NSF or other grant or school support and members of under-represented groups.

People interested in applying for travel funds should check the appropriate box in the electronic registration form. The deadline for sending in requests for travel support is January 15, 2015. Priority will be given to those who send their request for support before January 1, 2015.
