The Mathematics Minor

The Math Minor consists of seven or more courses. At least four of these courses must be upper-division courses taken from the UCSD Department of Mathematics. Acceptable lower-division courses are limited to Math 20D, 20E, and 20F.

Math 195, 196, 197, 198, and 199 are not acceptable courses for the mathematics minor. A grade of C- or better (or P if the Pass/No Pass option is used) is required for all courses used to satisfy the requirements for a minor. There is no restriction on the number of classes taken with the P/NP option. Lower division courses can overlap between a major and minor, however, no upper division courses can.

To declare a Math Minor, students should use the online minor tool on TritonLink.
