RESEARCH INTERESTS

Von Neumann Algebras, Ergodic Theory and Representation Theory of Groups. I am especially interested in the study of von Neumann algebras and equivalence relations arising from countable groups and their actions on probability spaces.

TEACHING

I am not teaching in Winter 2017.

Seminar in operator algebras

Starting February 2015, I am an editor for the Proceedings of the AMS

Starting January 2016, I am a cooperating editor for the Journal of Operator Theory

PAST EVENTS

WEST COAST OPERATOR ALGEBRA SEMINAR. The 2015 edition of WCOAS was held at UCSD between October 10-11, 2015.

During Fall and Winter 2014-2015, Remi Boutonnet and I ran a learning seminar on the "Poisson boundary"

VON NEUMANN ALGEBRAS AND ERGODIC THEORY. In the period September 22nd-26th 2014, I co-organized a workshop on von Neumann algebras and ergodic theory at UCLA.
