Required text: Introduction To Number Theory by Harold Stark. You are expected to read the text BEFORE each lecture.

Homework: Assigned weekly, due Friday 3:30pm in the appropriate box in the basement of APM.

Quiz: Wednesday, October 23, in discussion.

Midterm exam: Thursday, November 7, in class.

Final exam: Thursday, December 12, 3-6pm, APM B412. Please note that by signing up for this course, you are agreeing to sit for the final examination at this date and time. Bring a blue book!

Grading: 20% homework, 10% quiz, 20% midterm, 50% final exam.
               The grading will be done on a curve, the median corresponding to a B-/C+.

No notes, textbooks, calculators are allowed during exams. No make-up exams will be given and no late homework will be accepted. Cheating on an exam results in 0 points for that exam, as well as further disciplinary action. Please familiarize yourselves with the policies of the Academic Integrity Office.
