Homework
Math 20E Fall 2013
Lecture A

There will be (more or less) weekly homework, to be turned in by 12pm on the due date (generally on Fridays) in your TA's box in the basement of AP&M.

The homework will account for 15% of your grade.

The two lowest homework scores will be dropped. No late homework will be accepted. A representative sample of the exercises will be graded. Please observe the following neatness guidelines for homework that you turn in to be graded; homework not conforming to these guidelines will not receive full credit and may not be graded at all. For each homework 1 point is awarded for following these guidelines.
  • Use clean, white letter size paper that is not torn from a spiral notebook.
  • Write your Name, PID, Section and TA clearly on each page of your completed assignment. (for instance, "Sheldon Cooper, PID: A01234567, Section: A03 4-5pm, TA: Tristan")
  • Write clearly and legibly.
  • Clearly number each solution and present them in numerical order.
  • Staple the pages togheter.
Students are encouraged to discuss the homework among themselves, but are expected to turn in their own work - copying someone else's is not acceptable and will result in a negative grade for that assignment. UCSD's policy on Academic Integrity may be found here.

Although you are required to turn in only the HW problems listed below, you are expected to do additional problems on your own until you understand the material.

The numbers refer to the textbook.
