Women in Mathematics Symposium, UCSD
Twin WiMSoCal, 21 April 2013
Our vision is two-fold:
The symposium will provide an opportunity for women in mathematics in the southern California area to get to know each other on a personal as well as a professional level. Our aim is to create a network of women mathematicians in the Southern California area in order to nurture collaborations and provide a framework for mentoring.
The symposium will provide an opportunity to develop professionally by giving a mathematical talk in a supportive, non-threatening environment.
The symposium will be held on Sunday, April 21, 2013 in the Applied Physics and Mathematics (APM) building on the UCSD campus. People will be able to park in the P 207 parking lot next to Peterson Hall. Coffee breaks, lunch etc will be in the Math Dept’s common room which is on the 7th floor of APM in room 7356.
Enter the campus on Muir College Drive off N Torrey Pines Road. P207 is the second lot on the right. For driving directions, click here or use the UCSD interactive campus map. The APM building is the immediately south of the P207 parking lot.
The symposium is free, and lunch will be provided to registered participants. You must register by April 17.
We hope to see you this year!
