This year, I am not teaching. Instead I am Senior TA, in charge of orienting new TAs, holding workshops on teaching issues, observing TAs in sections, holding consultations, creating the TA assignments, serving as liaison between the faculty and the TAs, and various adminisitrative duties. I maintain a webpage of resources for TAs.

In Fall 2006, I was Associate Instructor for Math 3C, a precalculus class here at UCSD. Student Evaluation Course Statistics available.

If your college or university is interested in hiring me, please visit my Jobs page for student and faculty written evaluations, my teaching statement, and sample syllabi.

Since coming to UCSD, I have TA'd:

Spring 07: Calculus 20B

Winter 07: Math 153 (Geometry for Secondary School Teachers) and Calculus 10A

Summer 06: Calculus 20B

Spring 06: History of Math 163

Winter 06: Linear Algebra 20F

Fall 05: Math Reasoning 109

Fall 04: Calculus 10B

Spring 04: Calculus 10C

Winter 04: Calculus 10B

Fall 03: Calculus 10A

During my time at UCSD, I was an Adjunct Professor at Mesa College, which has a total enrollment of 25,000, with a diverse student body. I taught there for two summers and one semester, and I taught two different calculus courses: one advanced calculus course for engineers, and a second semester applied calculus course. Before coming to UCSD, I taught at lots of places.

In the summer of 2003 and 2002, I was a math teaching assistant at MIT's Women's Technology Program (WTP). It was a group of very talented young women learning about and investigating computer science and electrical engineering. Read about it here .

While in the Teacher Education Program at MIT, I did a semester of teaching high school mathematics as part of my teacher certification requirements. I taught algebra to juniors and seniors at Cambridge Ringe & Latin, an inner city high school (the alma mater of Ben Affleck and Matt Damon!) with a diverse student body.
