**Grading**: Your grade will be based on the maximum of the following
rubrics:

22.5% each midterm, 45% final, 10% homework (best 6/7)

12.5% lowest midterm, 22.5% highest midterm, 55% final, 10% homework (best
6/7)

**Homework assignments**:

**All homeworks are due at the beginning of class on
Fridays (except on Midterm days) or in the dropbox in the basement of APM labelled 140B on
those Fridays at 2 pm. All solutions to HW should be written in your own words.**

Exercises are at the end of each chapter. #X.Y denotes an exercise in Chapter X (the Yth exercise in that chapter).

**List of HW problems are tentative (will be confirmed 1 week before due date).**
