Homework Homework will be assigned, collected, and partially graded regularly. Each homework is due 4:00 pm, Wednesday, in homework drop boxes. Click here for the assignments. One homework assignment with the lowest score will be dropped.
Note: Please print your names, student ID nubmers, and discussion section numbers on your homework. Please stable together your homework pages.
Note: no late homework will be accepted unless a written verification of a valid excuse (such as hospitalization, family emergency, religious observance, court appearance, etc.) is provided.
Matlab There will be 4 homework assignments and a final quiz. The Matlab homework is due in the drop box before 5:00 pm each due day. The Matlab homework due dates are: Tuesday, April 9; Tuesday, April 23; Tuesday, May 7; and Tuesday, May 21. The Matlab final quiz date is: Tuesday, June 6. See the website http://www.math.ucsd.edu/~math20d/ for Matlab FAQs, Matlab topics, Matlab tutoring hours, and the information for the final Matlab quiz.
Exams There will be two midterm and one final, close-book and close-note exams. No calculators will be allowed in these exams. The final exam will be cumulative.
      Midterm Exam 1: 11:00 am - 11:50 am, Friday, April 26, Center Hall 115.
      Midterm Exam 2: 11:00 am - 11:50 am, Friday, May 24, Center Hall 115.
Final Exam: 11:30 am - 2:29 pm, Friday, June 14. Place: Center Hall 115.
Note: neither rescheduled nor make-up exams will be allowed unless a written verification of a valid excuse (such as hospitalization, family emergency, religious observance, court appearance, etc.) is provided.
Grading The final course grade will be determined based on the homework and exams with the weights: regularl homework - 10%, Matlab - 10%, midterm exam 1 - 20%, midterm exam 2 - 20%, and the final exam - 40%. The grades will be curved within the entire section A00.
OASIS Tutoring OASIS (Office of Academic Support and Instructional Services) is a campus-wide program for undergraduates of all majors. The program provides free tutoring and helps improve study habits. OASIS is located on the 3rd floor of Center Hall.
