Homework |
Homework is assigned, collected, and partially graded regularly.
Each homework is at the beginning of each Friday class.
Note: Please print your names and student ID nubmers on your homework. Please stable together your homework pages. Note: no late homework will be accepted unless a written verification of a valid excuse (such as hospitalization, family emergency, religious observance, court appearance, etc.) is provided.

Exams |
There will be one midterm and one final, close-book and close-note exams.
The final exam will be cumulative.
Midterm exam: 11:00 am - 11:50 am, Friday, October 28, 2011, AP&M 5402. Final exam: 11:30 am - 2:29 pm, Tuesday, December 6, 2011. Note: neither rescheduled nor make-up exams will be allowed unless a written verification of a valid excuse (such as hospitalization, family emergency, religious observance, court appearance, etc.) is provided. |
Grading | The final course grade will be determined based on the homework and exams with the weights: homework - 30%, midterm exam - 30%, and final exam - 40%. |
