My main area of research is the theory of expander graphs and "superstrong approximation" for linear algebraic groups. In the past decade, many applictions have been found for the theory of expander graphs in pure mathematics and there have been major advancements in the theory of "superstrong approximation" accordingly. I am interested in seeing what we can show about "superstrong approximation" in the positive characteristic realm and how these new results can be applied. I am currently finishing a joint paper with my advisor, Prof. Alireza Salehi Golsefidy. The main result of our work can be found in my research statement.
