David Quarfoot @ UCSD

My interests are split across pure/applied mathematics, statistics, data science, programming, and mathematics/statistics education research. As such, I teach a wide variety of courses at UCSD. In all my classes, I maintain high standards through frequent homework sets, challenging exams, and a classroom experience based on active learning rather than passive lecturing. I've always loved teaching and thought it was the most difficult and rewarding thing I've done.

Courses I've taught or am scheduled to teach at UCSD: Math 10A, 10B, 11, 20A, 20B, 181A, 181B, 183, 197/199 (directed reading in machine learning), and MSED 296C.

You can find the most up-to-date info on my planned teaching here.
