Classical Control Using H-infty Methods

By J. William Helton and Orlando Merino

The book is intended for three audiences:

It begins with an engineering control system design methodology. This could be a supplement to most undergraduate classical control courses.

The second part of our book gives a (very elementary) account of our theory of optimization over analytic functions as well as how it leads to computer algorithms. This would be good for graduate students or researchers in either math or engineering.

The following are postscript files which can be downloaded

NOTE: IF YOUR PRINTER HAS TROUBLE WITH LARGE JOBS, try (if your OS is UNIX):
lpr -s BOOK*.ps
In all other cases the book can be downloaded in smaller pieces. Hopefully this will help!!

The programs OPTDesign and Anopt that are used in the book to run examples are also available via anonymous ftp.
