MATH 20B Fall 2007
Calculus for Science and Engineering
Announcements
- 12/8/07 The formula sheet for the final is now posted on the homework webpage. I also posted the averages of the two midterms and the quizzes there. You can use these to get an impression of how you are doing in the class. Since the averages of the first and second midterm were significantly different, I will adjust the scores accordingly before using them to compute the total percentages. (This means that I will lift the scores of Midterm 1 to make them comparable to the scores of Midterm 2.)
- 12/7/07 On Thursday, December 13, there will be an additional discussion section in which I will explain some of the practice problems and answer questions. It will take place in Center Hall 105 at 12.30. We will also have office hours during finals week: Joel will have office hours Monday 12 to 3 in his office AP&M 6351. Alexander's office hours will be Monday from 4-6 in the calc lab AP&M B402A and Tuesday from 2-4 in his office AP&M 5412. I will have office hours from 11 to 3 on Friday in my office AP&M 5230.
- 12/2/07 A set of practice problems that you can use to study for the final are posted here. Note: (12/13/07) There was an unfortunate typo in problem #1 that I just fixed. It should be 'definite integrals', not 'indefinite integrals'.
- 11/30/07 Solutions for Midterm 2 are posted here: Version (a) and Version (b).
- 11/28/07 In addition to my regular office hours on Friday (1.30-3.00), I will have extra office hours tomorrow (Thursday) from 12 to 3 (in my office AP&M 5230). Alexander will have extra office hours tomorrow morning from 10 to 12 (in his office AP&M 5412). Please stop by to get help with your questions!
