About Discussion Sections:

Discussion sections are an opportunity to answer any questions that you have about the course or the homework, and to go over basic concepts in the course that may not be covered in lecture. Come in armed with (relevant) questions, and I'll do my best to answer them in the short time that we have. If you have anything you want me to cover during section, please E-mail me with which section you plan to attend, and what you want to go over{I might not actually go over it, but it would help me plan. Tentatively, I plan to do homework questions in class, and will likely default to that if there are no questions. The purpose of this discussion section is to help you, the students, so do not be afraid to speak up if there is anything I could do to that end.

Other Help

Posted Solutions:

I fully expect that there will be problems on the homework that many of you will struggle on. For some subset of these problems, I will post solutions to them online. If there's any problem that you want me to post a solution to, please E-mail me. If enough of you request that I post the solution to a certain problem, I will post it (it will be under the "Solutions" tab in my course webpage).

Calculus Lab:

I am in the Calculus Lab (AP&M B402) for at least an hour a week to provide any 20C related help you may need. But besides me, there should be many capable tutors available to help you should you need help. Please note, when I am in the calc lab, I am required to give priority on a first come, first serve basis, so if there happens to be a crowd of people around me (not likely), then I have to help them first. I'm much more accessible during office hours.

Homework

Homework will be due every Friday at 5PM, beginning Friday, January 16th, 2015. There is a box set up to turn in homework in the basement level of AP&M (take a left out of the elevators and it should be to your left). The box should have one of the only bright red tags, with the course number (math 20C), the professor's name (X Wang), my name (Jor-el Briones), and the section times (7PM & 8PM). Please turn in homework in that box, or hand it in during section. Once homework has been graded and I have them, you may pick up homework during section, during office hours, or whenever I happen to be in my office.
