Title: Small mass asymptotics of a charged particle in a variable magnetic field
Abstract: We consider small mass asymptotics of the motion of a charged particle in a noisy force field combined with a variable magnetic field. The Smoluchowski-Kramers approximation does not hold in this case. We show that after a regularization of noise, a Smoluchowski-Kramers type approximation works.
