Teaching Evaluations
I did my undergraduate studies at the University of Natal, Durban, South Africa, in the faculty of science, from 1993-1997. My thesis advisors were Professors H. Swart and P. Dankelmann. I completed Part III of the mathematical tripos (CASM) in 1998 and then my PhD in 2001 at Cambridge University in the Department of Pure Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics (DPMMS) under the supervision of Professor A. Thomason. From 2001 to 2003 I did a postdoc in the Theory Group at Microsoft Research in Redmond, Washington, and while I was there I did some teaching at the University of Washington. Thereafter I accepted a position in the Department of Combinatorics and Optimization at the University of Waterloo for three years, from 2003-2006. I then accepted a position in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at McGill University. In fall 2007, I moved to UCSD (University of California San Diego).
