Lectures MWF 3-4 Centr 201 Instr Hans Lindblad lindblad@math.ucsd.edu Office hour MW 4-4.30 Mandeville cafe
Syllabus Ch 8-13 (from where 130A left off) Ch 7-10 deals with basic questions about nonlinear systems of ordinary
differential equations e.g. stability. 11-13 deal with applications to biological systems, electric circuits and mechanics
Preliminary schedule. Since class is small there will be no TA. Instead Fridays lecture will be a problem session.

Exams One midterm in class, a final Wed June 10, 3-6pm. Grade Midterm 40%, final 60%.
Midterm will cover Ch 8-10. A similar practice exam will be posted by 5/10. We will go over it in class 5/11.
You are allowed to bring one sheet of formulas to the exam.
You can improve your grade by handing in (before the final) one of the Explorations in the end of the chapters.
