Guidelines for first midterm: Wednesday May 19 in class.

What you may use: NO books, calculators, cell phones, or notes except 1 piece of paper, 8.5” x 11”, written on both sides.

What to bring: You will have to supply your own paper, bluebook preferred. Alternatively, you can bring loose sheets of paper and staple them together. Sharp-eyed monitors will check that nothing has been previously written in your bluebook!

Time: Midterm will start promptly at 11:00. All papers must be turned in by 11:55.

What you should know: The questions for the midterm will be based on material in Goodman, Chapters 10 and 11, as well as anything else covered in class or in problem sets (mainly Problem Sets 3-6 inclusive). We skipped Sections 11.7 and 11.8 of Chapter 11.
