  • Leilani is a 3rd year double majoring in Mathematics and Computer Science. She has been involved in the UCSD Math Club for 3 years. After her anticipated 2011 graduation, she hopes to continue to a PhD program in Computational Mathematics and Engineering. In addition, to being involved in Math Club, she is also a principal member of the Computer Science and Engineering Society, where she leads the Project Euler group, a project dedicated to solving a complicated math problems that require a computer to solve. In her spare time, Leilani enjoys swimming with the UCSD Master's team, playing flute, hula dancing, and baking. You can usually find her tutoring and studying in the CSE lab, swimming at canyonview, or reading a book on her hammock.

  • Hayley is this year's Math Club Vice President and she is looking forward to all the awesome events this year! Hayley is a fourth year Scientific Computation major at Revelle College. She transferred a year ago from Cuesta College located up in San Luis Obispo. She is working on her honors thesis this year with her topic being Stochastic Partial Differential Equations and she is open to answering any questions you might have about the honors thesis program. She is also involved in UCSD's Pepband as the clarinet section leader. Hayley hopes to continue on to graduation school and study computational mathematics and engineering. In her free time she enjoys crocheting and reading. She is excited to meet you all and hopes you enjoy the '09-'10 year!

  • Katie is a second year Pure Mathematics major originally from the San Francisco Bay Area. She is a Muir student, and enjoys living on campus. Last year, she was among the first set of students to take the Freshman Honors Math Sequence. She hopes to study abroad, and eventually obtain her PhD in Mathematics. In her spare time, she likes to hang out with her friends and spend time in the San Diego sun.

  • Svetlana was born and raised in Russia. Four years ago, she came to the United States to pursue education in economics. First, she was taking general education classes at the City College of San Francisco and then transferred to UCSD in Fall 2008. She decided to major in mathematics and economics because of her strong background in mathematics and passion for economics. Aside from her major, she likes tennis, stock trading, traveling, history, and languages.

  • Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Shishir (also known as Sunny) is now a third year student at Muir College, double majoring in Mathematics and Bioinformatics. After graduating, he hopes to continue on to graduate school in mathematics so that he can pursue a career doing research. In his spare time, he enjoys exploring new places, browsing Wikipedia, learning languages, drawing comics and watching the Daily Show.
