Note: Often, techniques in a later section can give easier solutions to
problems in an earlier section. While part of the point of putting problems
for section 2.2 in section 2.2 (for instance) is to give you practice on the
techniques of that section, it is a worthwhile exercise to look through and
think: now that I know more can I solve the problems more easily. For
instance, once you've been through section 3.2, can you more easily solve the
problems in 3.1 and some of the problems in 2.3 for instance?
