Announcements
9/5/08: Sorry, there will be no practice final solutions posted BUT I will be happy to answer any questions in lecture today, so if you ask me questions I will be happy to answer them - so hopefully you can get all the answers you'd like.
9/3/08: FINAL INFORMATION:
The Final is coming up on Saturday, September 6th 3-6pm in the typical class room. A single, double sided, 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of notes is allowed, but calculators will not be allowed. Please BRING ID! It has (slightly) more computational parts, but fewer true false problems then the practice (though more TF than the midterm) - roughly they should be on par. I've already mentioned that there is a 'check blah-blah-blah' is a subspace type problem. Be prepared.

See you Saturday. Friday's class is review, and a good time for questions!

9/3/08: On the practice final. Oops, on the last problem - solving Ax=b, I forgot to put a b. Take, say, b = [1;2;3].
9/1/08: Practice final! I'll post some more information soon (and possibly tweak the practice some, but it should be okay).
8/23/08: Midterm solutions are posted!
8/22/08: Midterm today! Sorry for the lateness of this, but you should bring ID. I will post solutions to the exam sometime after the exam. Good luck!
8/21/08: The midterm is tomorrow during lecture! See you there. I typed up some solutions to the sample midterm. WARNING: I didn't include full details, especially on some of the heavily computation problems, but I did try and give full solutions to the T/F and the last problem since I've had questions about that
8/17/08: Sample exam is here .
8/17/08: MIDTERM INFORMATION:
The Midterm is coming up on Friday, August 22nd during class. The exam will cover through 4.2 (Monday's lecture) and will have (among other things) a T/F section. I will post a sample exam shortly (as soon as it's been fully vetted - but if you do find mistakes on it, email me and let me know). A single, double sided, 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of notes is allowed, but calculators will not be allowed.
8/17/08: Homework for Chapter 4 is up. The midterm on Friday will only really go through 4.2.
8/12/08: We're a little behind the schedule on the Calendar, but that actually works out alright. We'll finish up with 2.2 quickly Tomorrow (Wednesday) and introduce the big result in 2.3. 2.5 we'll go over very quickly, and then move into 3. Probably we'll get through 3.1 Wednesday, and then do 3.2 + 3.3 Friday.
8/11/08: There seems to have been some confusion regarding Matlabs. This week Matlab assignments 1+2 are both due. Matlabs are typically due THE TUESDAY AFTER THEY ARE ASSIGNED. This week due to the confusion, we'll take Matlabs on Thursday too. However, MATLAB 3 IS DUE NEXT TUESDAY (August 19th).
8/7/08: Homework for Chapters 2+3 is up!
8/5/08: The first quiz on 1.1-1.5 is tomorrow (8/6) during Matlab sections. Questions are taken straight from the HW.
8/4/08: Egg on my face: Section in Solis 109! Exam 1 on Friday, Aug 22. Matlab same time as section, only on Thursday
8/3/08: Homework for the first chapter is up.
