Welcome to Rafael de Santiago's Climbing Gallery
This gallery shows pictures I've taken in some of
the mountains of Spain and the US.
Picos de Europa and Cordillera Cantábrica
lie in the north of Spain and the type of rock is limestone.
Galayos and El Torozo are near
Avila and Madrid, and they offer granite of an exceptional quality.
Tahquitz and Yosemite are in California, and they both
feature excellent granite.
Red Rocks is in Nevada, close to Las Vegas, and the rock
is a soft reddish limestone.
Click to see a map of Spain or a
map of California and Nevada and find out
their location.
Many of the pictures in which I appear where taken by
Javier Salazar.
He taught me how to climb.
