Kevin Hsu CSE 167 FA03 Final Project My final project is a gallery displaying only Ansel Adams photographs. Although the gallery ended up looking more like a subway/train waiting area, I still liked the end result. The benches were made with GL_QUADS and a titanium texture was bitmapped onto all areas of the bench. The end pillow-like objects on the bench were actually mistakes that I liked and decided to keep. The project features three switchable lights, and one nonswitchable spot light. I had wanted to make it more museum/gallery like by focusing tracklights or spotlights onto the displays. The results were less than thrilling. Some of the technical problems I ran into were issues like not being able to find the right textures, or not familiar with the bitmapping technique. Another issue was determining the right resolution and size of texture maps to use. Initially being able to get a sense of the scale of things in my scenery was a bit difficult. Also I was too used to being able to navigate a rendered scene at will due to many years of playing first person shooters. I was frustrated at my own bad implementation to help me navigate my scene.
