The Homer Clock - CSE 167 - Student: Gary Lam
This project was based off of a Homer Simpson wall clock. Well, instead of putting it against a wall, I decided to have it float in mid-air. I can't rotate around it, otherwise. The clock actually tells time; it gives you the time of your system clock. You can adjust the time to your liking and reset it back to your system clock. Homer's eyes follow the second hand as it goes around the clock. Homer's eyes follow the donut on the second hand.
The walls of the room were chosen because I tried to make everything a bit more 'artsy.' Having a floating clock in the room is a bit eclectic by itself, so I snooped around the web looking for Simpsons graphics that I felt would fit the theme. Also, the clock is stored in a glass container to protect it from dust.
The controls are as follows:
arrow keys toggle viewpoint
- w - toggles wireframe mode
- h - sets hour forward by 1
- H - sets hour backward by 1
- m - sets minutes forward by 1
- M - sets minutes backwards by 1
- r - resets time to local time
- l - toggles light
