San Diego is located at the base of Southern California and borders Mexico. Tijuana is just south of the border. It is a popular tourist destination and has attractions such as: Sea World, San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, Wild Animal Park, and Legoland. The most convenient airport is the San Diego International Airport (Lindbergh Field, code: SAN). Taking a taxi to UCSD or the nearby hotels will be approximately 30 minutes and $40-$45. Airport transportation is available through Cloud Nine Shuttle. For reservations you may either call (800) 974-8885 or reserve online. If you are driving down from Irvine, the trip is roughly an hour -- from Los Angeles it is about 2 hours. From Riverside the trip is about 2 hours and from Santa Barbara about 4 hours.
