UCSD Mathematics : Southern California Number Theory Day

SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA NUMBER THEORY DAY
U.C. SAN DIEGO, February 26, 2012.

Organizers: UCSD - Number Theory Group, with financial support from the NSF and UCSD.

Invited Speakers: Matthew Baker (UC Berkeley), Dinakar Ramakrishnan (Caltech),
Peter Stevenhagen (University of Leiden), Annette Werner (University of Frankfurt).

Location: All talks will be held in AP&M Bldg. (Dept. of Math) Room 6402, on the UCSD campus. The refreshments will be served in AP&M Bldg. Room 7356. Click on campus map to locate the AP&M Bldg.

10:00 - 11:00	Peter Stevenhagen "Galois representations of the multiplicative group"
11:30 - 12:30	Annette Werner "Mustafin varieties"
12:30 - 2:30	Lunch
2:30 - 3:30	Matthew Baker "Divisors on curves and graphs"
4:00 - 5:00	Dinakar Ramakrishnan "Determination of cusp forms on GL(n) by components at degree one primes"

6:00 -	Dinner - Cozymel's, La Jolla

Directions to the UCSD campus and the AP&M building (Math. Department).

Parking on the UCSD Campus is free on weekends. You may park in any of the parking lots next to the AP&M building. For a campus map, please click on map. Please do not park in the "reserved" or "A parking only" spaces.

Registration: There is no registration fee. This will help the organizers make proper catering arrangements and dinner reservations.
