CONFERENCE ON STARK'S CONJECTURES AND RELATED TOPICS

Parking on
the UCSD Campus is free on weekends and costs $8/day during the week. You may park in any of the parking lots close to the lecture hall. During the weekend you may park in any space which is not marked "reserved" or "A parking only." On Friday you may purchase your parking permit at any of the pay-stations located at the entrance of the parking lots and can use it to park in the spaces marked S or B, unless signs at the entrance of the parking lot of your choice forbid you to do so. The Pangea and Hopkins  parking structures are very close to the conference hall and should have available paid spots on Friday. For a campus map, click on UCSD-campus map.

Registration: There is no registration fee. However, if you are interested in participating, please fill in the blank fields below and click on the "Submit Registration Information" button below in order to register for the conference. This will help the organizers make proper catering arrangements.

Funding: Partial funding (for hotel and travel expenses) is available for participants who reside in the United States, with an emphasis on young researchers and those who do not have any NSF support. In order to apply for funding, please send an e-mail message to cpopescu@math.ucsd.edu with the subject  "Stark conference funding" and an estimate of your travel/lodging expenses by August 30, 2013.  Please attach a brief CV in PDF format.

Conference Dinner: There will be a conference dinner in the Atkinson Pavilion of the UCSD Faculty Club on Saturday at 6:30pm. The cost is $30/person for faculty and $20/person for graduate students.

Hotels: The Sheraton La Jolla offers discounted rates ($119 +tax per night) to UCSD visitors and it is within a 25 minute walk from the lecture room. The reservations should be made by August 27 by clicking
on the following link: Sheraton - Stark conference reservations. We strongly encourage younger participants to consider sharing a room. There is a (pleasant but at times uphill) 30 minute walk from the Sheraton to the conference room (Robinson Auditorium). In order to make it to the 8:30am breakfast, please plan accordingly.
