In this class, you will have two types of homework: online homework and "paper-and-pen" homework. **You will submit your online homework for a grade, but
you will not submit
your "paper-and-pen" homework.**

**Online Homework**: You will submit your online homework through a system
called MyMathLab. To access your online homework, sign into
TritonEd, and click "MyMathLab" at the top of
the main menu column on the left. There you will find a link called "MyMathLab with Pearson eTextCourse Home". Click this link to access the ebook and the
homework assignments.
Please note the following online homework policies:

- All homework assignments will be made available at 7:00 am on Friday, September 29 (the first day of classes).
- Most homework assignments have both a multiple choice portion and a numeric answer portion. These appear as two separate assignments, so make sure that you complete both of them by the due date.
- You will be allowed an unlimited number of attempts to correctly answer the problems which are not multiple choice problems.
- You will be allowed three attempts to correctly answer the multiple choice problems.
- (Late Homework) Online homework problems may be completed after the due date; however, there is a late penalty of 50%. This penalty is applied only to the problems which are submitted late, and not to those already submitted before the due date.
- No homework scores will be dropped at the end of the quarter.
- Homework may not be submitted after the day of the final exam.

**"Paper-and-Pen" Homework**:
Below, you will find the due dates of your online homework assignments together with your "paper-and-pen" homework assignments. You should notice that your
written homework
problems are almost exactly the same as your online homework problems, up to some changes of numbers and format, except for the problems listed in red. The problems listed in red were not available for online
homework, but they are important for your understanding of the course material, and some of them will appear on your quizzes and/or exams.
