  • (12-1-10) Here is the handout from class today with the max/min problems. By the way, the answer to the last problem is that the box is a cube, i.e. the length and width and height are all equal to the cube root of the volume.
  • (11-23-10) Here is the link to the follow-up MAA survey that I sent via email.
  • (11-22-10) Chad will have office hours tomorrow (Tues, Nov 23) from 9-11 am. He will not have office hours on Wed, Nov 24.
  • (11-15-10) In light of tomorrow's exam, Jeremy and Chad will hold office hours tomorrow instead of Wednesday. Chad will have office hours from 8-9am, and Jeremy will have office hours from 2-3pm. I will also hold my usual Tuesday office hour from 12:30-1:30pm. Please note that this change is for this week only.
  • (11-10-10) Monday in class we will have a review for Tuesday's exam. In order to prepare for this review session, please complete last year's second midterm exam (downloadable from the main course website) and bring a copy of the exam to class on Monday. You can find a lot of other problems to help you prepare for the exam in the review sections for chapter 2 and 3. The check your understanding true and false are great! Here are some suggested problems to get you started:
    • CH2 review problems (pp109-112): 9, 21, 24, 35
    • CH2 check your understanding (pp 113): 3, 9, 13, 25
    • CH3 review problems (pp168-172): 41, 47, 82, 95
    • CH3 check your understanding (pp 172-173): 4, 16
  • (11-10-10) In light of the university holiday tomorrow and the quiz Friday, Jonny has been so kind as to schedule office hours on Friday from 9-10am and 11am-noon.

  • (10-18-10) In light of tomorrow's exam, Jeremy and Chad will hold office hours tomorrow instead of Wednesday.
