Welcome aboard.

1. A remark on grading: The quizzes will be taken into account in a capacity of 60%; the final - 40%. I reserve a right to change it but only in favor of students (say, 70-30 if the final turns out to be tough).

The home works will not be graded and formally are not mandatory but I strongly recommend to do it. The tests will be very close to the HWs, and

It will be very hard to write quizzes and the final without doing them.

2. For people who have not bought the book yet, I posted in “Handouts” a pdf-file for Chapters 0-1. However, I will remove this file in about 10 days, and I will not post other chapters (I can’t do it by law).
