    MIDTERMS

    The first midterm on Wednesday, April 21 was in Peterson Hall room 110, 11.15-12.05. It covered everything discussed in class, in the assigned reading, and on the homework assignments up to and including the material in Section 11.4 (it did not cover Section 11.5).

    The second midterm will be on Wednesday, May 19, 11.15 a.m.-12.05 p.m. Students whose last names begin with one of the letters A-E should go to room 222 in Center Hall for the exam. All other students should go to the regular class room, Center 105. The second midterm will cover everything discussed in class, in the assigned reading, and on the homework assignments relating to Sections 11.5-11.8, 11.10, 12.1-12.5. Of course, some problems may use things learned in earlier sections, e.g., dot and cross products of vectors.

    Solutions to the midterms are available from Soft Reserves.

    FINAL EXAM
    The final exam will be on Wednesday, June 9, 1999, 11.30 a.m.--2.30 p.m. in Peterson Hall 110 and will count for 50% of the course grade. The exam will be an overall test of the material covered in the course, with a little more emphasis on material covered since the second midterm.

    Students may bring a graphing calculator to exams, but no books or notes. Please make sure to bring your student I.D., something to write with, a blue book (or two), and your graphing calculator.

    REVIEW SESSION
    There will be a review session for the Final Exam on Monday, June 7, 6-8 p.m., Center Hall 214.
