TALK BY K. BURDZY, APRIL 27, 2000

Heat equation and reflected Brownian motion in time dependent domains
Krzysztof Burdzy, Univ. Washington

The talk will be focused on properties of heat equation solutions in one-dimensional time-dependent domains, with Neumann boundary conditions, i.e., with no flux through the boundary. Singularities and "heat atoms" in domains with rough boundaries will be discussed. Questions of existence and uniqueness of solutions to the heat equation and refected Brownian motion will be also addressed. This is joint work with Z. Chen and J. Sylvester.
