STOCHASTIC NETWORKS
Research on stochastic networks has powerful driving
applications in the modelling of
manufacturing, telecommunications, and computer systems.
These various applications
raise common mathematical issues of some subtlety,
explored in the forthcoming
IMA Volume 71 on
Stochastic Networks.
The volume edited by Frank Kelly and Ruth Williams
contains
articles by experts in
operations research, systems science and engineering, and
applied mathematics.
You may browse the preface and table of contents
for this proceedings of the IMA workshop on
Stochastic Networks held at the
Institute for Mathematics and Its Applications
in March 1994. The volume was published in the summer of 1995
and is now available from
Springer-Verlag (1-800-SPRINGER).
