My Homepage

My name is Yanxiang Zhao (see my CV). I am a Ph.D graduating from Department of Mathematics of the Pennsylvania State University under supervision of Verne M. Willaman professor Qiang Du.

I am currently a postdoc at UCSD working with professor Bo Li, Li-Tien Cheng of Department of Mathematics, and professor J. Andrew McCammon of Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry.

My research focuses on mathematical biology and computational mathematics. I have been working on the phase field or diffuse interface approach for the modeling and simulations of some interfacial problems. I am currently working on phase field based variational implicit-solvent models for biomolecular interactions. Please see my research page for the details.
