Jacob Sterbenz received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Maryland in 2003. After graduation, he received a fellowship from the National Science Foundation and was also appointed as a Veblen Research Instructor at Princeton from 2003-2006.
Sterbenz works in the area of non-linear geometric wave equations and dispersive PDE, with an emphasis on the field equations arising in special and general relativity.
