About Me

I am an SEW assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics at University of California, San Diego (UCSD).

I obtained my PhD degree in mathematics at University of Michigan in August 2021. My advisor is Kartik Prasanna. Before that, I obtained my BSc degree in mathematics at University of Washington in June 2015.

Here is my CV, last updated in November 2020.

When I am not thinking about math, I like to play board games. I also enjoy hiking, playing bridge (the card game), and hunting for good food.

Research

I am interested in algebraic number theory, specifically function field arithmetic. In particular, I like to think about Drinfeld modules, zeta functions and L-functions in characteristic p, analogs of p-adic zeta and L-functions in characteristic p, and their special values.
