Homework

Gradescope Homework

Homework assignments are posted to Canvas. The homework will be submitted directly to Gradescope by the students. The Due Dates can be found in the Calendar!

Gradescope Login:   Log into Gradescope using the "Gradescope" link in Canvas.

The name of our Gradescope course is "MATH20D_WI20_D00". All students enrolled in the course are automatically enrolled in this Gradescope course. (But make sure to access Gradescope using the link in Canvas.)

You will submit your own homework assignments in this course. A video demonstrating the submission process can be found at the following link:   https://gradescope.com/get_started#student-submission

Guidelines for submission through Gradescope:

  • Submissions must be PDF files.
  • If your homework is handwritten, you must upload a scanned document.
  • You may type your homework (using LaTeX, for example) and save your file as a PDF.
  • You may write your solutions using a tablet device.
  • All homework is due at 11:00 P.M.
  • Gradescope will ask you to match each of the exercises with the page on which your solution for that exercise appears.
  • For more information, watch the Gradescope tutorial video: https://gradescope.com/get_started#student-submission

Due Dates:   All homework is due at 11:00 P.M. We will allow the first homework (only) to be submitted up to two days late. This is to allow for the fact that students may be unfamiliar with the system and may experience some technical issues during the first submission. But this is a one-time only rule. After the first homework, no homework will be accepted late.

Homework Score:   Each homework worths 20 points. Only a portion of the problems will be graded. Though the total possible points is 120, the maximum homework score is 100 points. This means that you don't have to do all of the problems in order to get 100%. Any score 100 or better will earn a score of 100%.
