5. Attending Conference
5.1 Registration
The deadline for online registration is November 10, 2007. Please go to http://aspx.sonsmall.com/ for further information and submit the registration form online.
Late registration fee is $100 for each person each conference after the online registration deadline at Nov 10, 2007. So please hurry up and register early.

5.3 Hotel / Venue
The conferencewill take place in La Jolla Cove suites. We have reserved a block of rooms at La Jolla Cove Suites. Please make reservation by calling the hotel directly before Nov. 10 and mention clearly the conference names for the discount rate.
  • $109/night for a standard hotel room
  • $169/night for an ocean view mini suite
  • $179/night for an ocean view studio suite
  • $219/night for an ocean view full size suite
The rooms will be released after Nov. 10.

5.4 Funding Opportunities Budget

5.4.1 Registration Fee Waiver
The registration fees for all participants who is affiliated with any institution in California are waived because of the coverage by the UC Discovery Award.
The registration fees for all organization committee members, program committee members, and invited speakers are waived. Organization committee members and invited speakers are automatically registered. Program committee members still need to manually register online by themselves.
Please choose the "pay cash in person" option when doing the online registration if you are eligible for a registration fee waiver.
The registration fee waiver is only valid for advance registrations before Nov 10, 2007.
5.4.2 Travel support for graduate students and junior faculties
We will provide some travel support for graduate students and junior faculty members. You can apply by sending email to Ms. Anita McKee (amckee@math.ucsd.edu ) stating the requested amount and attaching your vita. The amount of support will be determined shortly AFTER the conference when all budgetary issues have been dealt with.
You need to provide us with the original receipts if the application is successful.
5.4.3 Participants from University of California
There are additional travel awards for UC participants. Anyone (students, postdocs, staff, faculty) at a UC campus can apply directly for travel support to the University of California office called IUCRP. They take about two weeks to make their decision.

IUCRP decides on a first come, first served basis.
If you applied to IUCRP but was refused, you can still apply for travel support directly by sending email to Anita McKee as stated in the subsection of "travel support for graduate students and junior faculties". However, we encourage all UC participants to apply to IUCRP first.
