Quizzes
Exams will have a form of quizzes and will be managed using gradescope.com.
There will be 6 quizzes, each with 3 or 4 questions, scheduled as specified below. The lowest score among scores you attain on all quizzes will be dropped.
Therefore your grade will depend only on scores you attain on 5 quizzes. Each
of these 5 quizzes will have weight 12% of your final grade. (The remaining 40% will be determined by homework.)
For each quizz, two time slots will be offered as specified below. You will choose one of these time slots
for every quizz.
Your choice of the quiz time slot will be determined by starting the quiz on GradeScope by clicking on "Start Assignment" button.
After clicking on "Start Assignment" button you will have 40 minutes to complete the quiz.
!!! If you start both the morning quiz and afternoon quiz, only the submission for the morning quiz (at 9:00am) will be counted !!!
If you are completely unable to take a quiz during either of the scheduled sessions, you must request accommodations
by contacting the instructor at least 1 week in advance.
Schedule of quizzes (the quiz times are the time zone of San Diego):
- Q1: Wednesday of Week 2 (10/14) between 9:00am and 9:50am, or 1:00pm and 1:50pm
- Q2: Wednesday of Week 4 (10/28) between 9:00am and 9:50am, or 1:00pm and 1:50pm
- Q3: Monday of Week 6 (11/9) between 9:00am and 9:50am, or 1:00pm and 1:50pm
- Q4: Wednesday of Week 7 (11/18) between 9:00am and 9:50am, or 1:00pm and 1:50pm
- Q5: Wednesday of Week 9 (12/2) between 9:00am and 9:50am, or 1:00pm and 1:50pm
- Q6: Wednesday of Finals Week (12/16) between 9:00am and 9:50am, or 1:00pm and 1:50pm
