Adam Bowers earned his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Connecticut in 2007. Bowers has eight years of classroom experience teaching mathematics at the university level. He has taught a wide range of mathematics courses, including intermediate algebra, business mathematics, pre-calculus, single variable and multivariable calculus, differential equations, probability, and complex analysis. In addition to his classroom experience, Bowers coordinated the mathematics portion of the Center for Academic Programs (CAP) summer program for incoming freshmen at the University of Connecticut in 2004-2006. This program is designed to increase access to higher education for high-potential students coming from underrepresented backgrounds. His research has been focused on a form of integration theory associated to generalized measures known as "bimeasures."
